Hello everyone! I've been itching to cut paper lately, I decided to get back on that horse with the following illustration. Like a Zebra in a Lion's Den...

This one's a little bizarre....but, another project for my synergism class. I was craving cutting paper, as usual. Hopefully the concept reads, but in case there is any confusion, the zebra has disguised himself as a lion and entered the lion's den in an effort to not be eaten. He then discovers the zebra meat the lion's have been snacking on. I promise I will be posting better pictures soon, but for now I could only snap one with my iphone.

Gypsy Giraffe

My apologies for lack of posts, things have been crazy here at school. I am currently working on my thesis and trying to keep that off of the internet for now. Anyway, progress in my other works....

For an assignment, in my synergism class, we were asked to pick a page in the dictionary and illustrate it using several different terms. I've been itching to cut paper for a while now, and used this as a perfect excuse.

Paper Christmas

A quick paper sculpture I did to help decorate the house for Christmas. One of my favorite scenes ever, puppy napping by the fireplace with stockings hung and the tree up. I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas.

Goose Girl

So, school is back in full swing here at Ringling. It's still hard to believe I'm a senior! Things picked up pretty much the second we got back.
My first illustration assignment was a children's book illustration. I chose the story of The Goose Girl. If you're interested in reading it, you can find it here. Below are my two illustrations and process for said story. I chose to do paper sculptures for it, I felt the style and look fit the story well.
